I’m not saying anything about Israel.
It’s a lovely place, I’m ‘Israeli’ - I was born there.
I’m not ‘Dissing’ Israel - I’m not even sure if Israel really exists, but that’s another conversation.
What I’m trying to say, and this is maybe were some use of your own imagination would be helpful, that Israel is not a strip of Land in the dessert, it is not a National Identity, it is not some type of Citizenship, or part of some greater Jewish zine.
Israel in my own post-post-ultra-neo-hasidic perspective - is PURELY a state of mind, the Holy Land is a place within yourself, a place within you. NOT outside of you.
That there is a peice of land in the middle east that some people call Israel - is interesting - but not my problem. I’ve been to a Bar called ‘Temple’ which is in an old Public Toilet, (the analagy is quite apt i thinks) just because it’s called Temple - it doesn’t mean that I need to take off my shoes and kill a cow.
